Guide for changing the engine oil of a Kymco 125 Agility scooter. Obtain one litre of Kymco 4t 10w40 oil. Position the scooter on the centre stand. Start the scooter and let it run for a few minutes, then switch off. Place a container under the engine casing to collect the oil for disposal. Using a ratchet and a 16mm socket, unscrew the oil drain plug located at the bottom, on the left side of the engine. The plug is at the height of the centre stand spring. Clean the threads thoroughly and allow all the engine oil to drain out. Then, screw the plug back in until tight (be careful not to overtighten). Open the oil filler cap located on the right side of the casing, near the exhaust silencer, and add 900ml of SAE 10w40 oil.

Changing the Oil and Filter on the Kawasaki Versys

Here’s how to change the oil and filter on the Kawasaki Versys. Warm up the engine for a few minutes, place the motorcycle on the centre stand, open the filler cap, and remove the drain plug underneath the engine. Place a catch basin under the oil sump, unscrew the drain plug, and let the oil drain out. Unscrew the oil filter and let all the old oil drain out. Install a new filter and tighten it with the appropriate tool. Pour half a glass of new oil into the filler cap and wait for it to flow out of the drain hole, after which replace the plug. Fill with approximately 1.8 litres of new oil, take it for a short ride to circulate the oil in the engine, stop the engine, and check the level through the designated window. Top up if necessary.
