Using a 12mm socket, unscrew the two bolts securing the plate to the brake disc. This will detach the caliper, allowing you to remove the worn brake pads. If they do not come out easily, pull the plate slightly to create space. While you're at it, give the brake caliper a good clean, using brake cleaner spray as well. If you're particularly meticulous, you can detach the bracket from the caliper for a more thorough clean. Now, using a tool, widen the seat for the new pads, which will obviously be thicker than the worn ones. Insert the new pads and screw the caliper back onto the disc.
