This short and simple video will illustrate the steps on how to disassemble and replace the shift knob of the Mahindra Xuv500. First, get in the vehicle and firmly unscrew the shift knob counterclockwise (use pliers if the knob is difficult to remove); then pull the knob upward to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, remove and replace, if necessary, the shift boot; then install the new knob, ensuring there is no play between the lever and the shift knob!
