How to Change the Batteries in the Mercedes C 220 Keys

To replace the battery in the key/fob for the Mercedes C 220, first, pull the key from its housing in the fob. To do this, press the appropriate lever. At this point, use the metal key to unclip the remote cover and pry it off to remove the cover that protects the battery. When removing the cover, be careful to pivot on the other side to avoid breaking the plastic tabs. Finally, you can remove the battery using the key itself. To reassemble, after replacing the battery, simply perform the same steps in reverse order.
