How to reset the service light on the Mercedes GLA from the instrument cluster.

To reset the maintenance reminder on the Mercedes GLA, you only use the instrument cluster and the steering wheel controls. With the car stationary, engage the parking brake and turn on the ignition without starting the engine, so that the central display between the tachometer and speedometer is illuminated. On the left side of the steering wheel, there are buttons with arrows and the OK button: these are used to navigate through the menus. First, bring the display to the total mileage screen by using the arrows until the car's kilometers appear. From this screen, enter the service menu: using the arrow buttons, scroll through the options until the section dedicated to maintenance with the wrench icon and oil service indication appears. When the service item is selected, press and hold the OK button until the system prompts you to confirm the action just performed; then confirm again with OK. The display will then update the maintenance interval, showing the kilometers and days until the next service, and the service light will no longer be active. Turn off and turn on the ignition again to verify that no further warnings appear when starting the engine: the service reset on the Mercedes GLA has been successfully completed after the oil change.
