How to Change the Engine Air Filter in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class

To replace the engine air filter in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, open the hood and locate the air filter box situated at the top of the engine compartment. Remove the Torx screws or unclip the fasteners that secure the airbox cover, then carefully lift it to access the filter element. Remove the worn filter and check that there is no dust, leaves, or other debris inside the housing, cleaning the area with a dry cloth if necessary. Position the new filter in the same direction as the one removed, ensuring it is properly seated and that the gasket fits snugly around the perimeter. Reposition the air filter box cover and tighten the screws or reattach the locking clips. Before closing the hood, check that all intake ducts are properly connected and that there are no loose components.
