Removing the Intake Manifold on Mercedes E-Class W211

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

Remove the three 10 mm bolts securing the rail. Using 13 mm and 14 mm wrenches, unscrew the connections between the injectors and the fuel lines. With 14 mm and 17 mm wrenches, disconnect the rail from the injection pump. Remove the rail by unscrewing the 17 mm bolt with two washers. Remove the fuel filter after disconnecting its lines and unscrewing the bolts that secure it. Unscrew the bolts securing the intake duct, disconnect everything associated with it (such as the pressure sensor), and finally remove it. Proceed in reverse for reassembly. This is a lengthy job and not suitable for everyone.
