Let's see how to proceed with removing an exterior mirror on a Mercedes A-Class. Use a plastic-coated lever to pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Pry until the mirror detaches from the plastic housing (disconnect the power cable); this is a delicate operation as the mirror could break. Press on the locking clips to disconnect the mirror cover, and replace the damaged part with a new one. Be careful to ensure the plastic snap clips engage into the mirror supports.
