To replace the exterior rearview mirror on a Mercedes A-Class, use a tool to pry off the internal plastic cover located at the mirror. Once the cover is removed, unscrew the underlying screws to detach the mirror from the outside.

Before removing the mirror, disconnect the connector by removing the panel under the window switch; once the connector is removed, you can take off the mirror and replace it with a new one.
