To remove the external rearview mirror on a Mercedes A-Class, use a tool to pry off the small triangular panel located on the inside of the mirror: once this panel is removed, you can loosen the screws underneath and disconnect the connector attached to the mirror itself.

After these components are removed, you can insert the new mirror: secure it with the appropriate screws and reconnect the connector, then cover everything with the corresponding panel.
