How do you open the fuel filler cap on a Mercedes A-Class? Let's look at the simple steps to follow. Open the fuel flap located on the left side of the car body by simply pressing on the flap. Once opened, you will find the black plastic fuel cap; unscrew it and remove it from the tank opening (attach the cap to the flap). After refuelling, tighten the cap onto the tank opening. Once refuelling is complete, close the fuel flap and press it until it clicks shut.
