How to Change the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

First, unscrew the cover beneath the boot of the passenger compartment, taking care to remove the only connector present. Once this cover is removed, you will have access to the air filter compartment. You can remove this component by pulling the small plastic lever that will release the filter. At this point, insert the new air filter into the same opening, then close the cover with the plastic latch. The final step of this process is to close the first component removed: the plastic piece that covers this compartment. Reconnect the connector and tighten the bolts of this cover.
