Mercedes Gla - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Gla MK 2, H247 - Years 2020-2024
Part: -board computer
Operation: How to permanently disable the lane assist feature on the MBUX of the Mercedes GLA.

In this video, we see how to disable the lane assist feature on the MBUX of the Mercedes GLA so that it doesn't reappear every time we restart the vehicle. The lane assist on this car is particularly intrusive. It is great when it needs to perform its duty of redirecting the driver's attention to the road - highly recommended during long nighttime journeys or when we are particularly tired and still have to drive. However, it can be quite annoying during normal driving conditions because if we slightly touch the center line, it practically slams on the brakes and can be very dangerous. We can deactivate it by going to the settings/quick access/lane keeping assist and turning it off, but when we restart the car, it reactivates. If instead, we want to permanently change the setting, we need to go to assistance/lane keeping assist system: you can adjust it to "standard" instead of the default "sensitive". If you need to take a nighttime or long trip, then you can readjust it to "sensitive" again and you'll be safer.
