To replace the outside rearview mirror of the Mercedes E-Class, pry with a tool like a screwdriver to detach the triangular inner trim corresponding to the mirror: once this is removed, loosen the screws that secure it to its housing from the inside. Next, disconnect the relevant connectors so that it can be completely removed; after removal, insert the new mirror, securing it and connecting it properly from the inside, then reinsert the trim.
