To replace the battery of the Mercedes GLC remote control, you need to remove the key from the bottom of the device, so that it can be used to pry: you will need to pry right into the key slot in order to detach the back cover panel of the remote control. The underlying battery can then be removed from its slot so that the new one can be inserted: the new battery can now be covered with the corresponding panel and then the key can also be inserted into the bottom.
