How to Remove the Timing Belt/Chain on a Mini

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014

In this video, learn how to remove and replace the timing belt on a Mini (chain). Lift the car on a column lift (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket, unscrew the fastening pin of the tensioner pulley, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket. Finally, refit the rivets with the associated wheel arch liner and reattach the wheel with the tyre to the vehicle.
