How to Replace the Serpentine Belt on the Mini Cooper S

To replace the serpentine belt on the Mini Cooper S (R56 model), first lift the vehicle with a jack or axle stands on the passenger side, then remove the wheel, the wheel arch liner, the front lights, and the cross panel. Also disconnect the two water reservoirs, both the windscreen washer and the radiator, and remove the hose leading to the turbo. Now locate and remove the tensioner, which is secured with three screws. The belt is now free and can be extracted. Complete the procedure by installing the new belt.
