This short procedure will show us how to disassemble and replace the battery of the Mini Cooper key remote control. First, let's take our remote control and start by removing the physical key from it. Then, we use leverage on the side slot to split the remote control into two parts, as shown in the video. At this point, we remove the back cover to access the battery compartment. We remove and replace the battery with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2032 3V battery). We insert it in the correct direction and reassemble the remote control shells, then verify the functioning of the buttons.
