How to Display Engine Temperature on a Mini Cooper S R56

In this video, learn how to display the engine temperature on a Mini Cooper S R56 (2007/2014). These vehicles do not have a device that automatically displays the engine temperature, but it can be accessed through a secret menu in an easy way. Press and hold the button located at the base of the speedometer for about 10 seconds. A maintenance menu will begin to scroll on the display, leading you to the last five digits of the VIN. You need to sum those numbers to obtain a two-digit number. For example, it could be 17. Keep holding the button until you reach option number 19. Hold it for about five seconds, release it, and then enter the number you obtained as the code number requested. Hold it until you return to the normal menu. Continue holding for another 10 seconds until you return to the VIN number again. Scroll to option 7, hold for 5 seconds, and release. You will arrive at the menu where you can see your engine temperature.
