Camshaft Sensor Replacement

This is a simple and quick operation that you can perform yourself by following this brief guide. Disconnect and lift the bonnet, then locate the sensor in question, which is situated at the top right corner of the engine next to the air intake cover. Disconnect the plug and start unscrewing the bolt next to the disconnected plug. All that remains is to remove the faulty sensor and reinstall the new part, and you're done! Retrace the steps for reassembling the remaining parts.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
