Replacing the key fob battery on a Nissan Maxima is a simple and quick procedure. Take the key fob and slide the lever on the back of the casing, which will allow you to extract the metal key inside. Once the key is removed, take a flathead screwdriver and insert the tip into the top edge of the casing (short side). Pry with the screwdriver to open the fob. At this point, remove the old battery and replace it; the required battery model is a flat CR 2032 3V.
