How to change the cabin air filter of the Peugeot 407

To replace the cabin air filter on the Peugeot 407, secure the car, turn off the ignition, and work on the passenger side. The access shown is in the area under the dashboard: after clearing the space, you reach the filter housing (positioned vertically) behind a cover. Remove or move the lower panel just enough to reach the cover of the housing, then unlock the cover and open it. At this point, pull out the filter by sliding it out of the guide, being careful not to spread dust and debris inside the compartment. Before installing the new filter, check the direction of airflow indicated on the filter (arrow/"AIRFLOW") and insert it with the same orientation, making sure it fits completely into the housing without bending. Close the cover of the housing, reposition the panel under the dashboard, and ensure everything is securely attached. If after the replacement you hear abnormal air noises or a reduced airflow, double-check that the filter is seated properly and that the cover is closed correctly.
