How to Lower the Rear Seats in a Peugeot 5008

To lower the rear seats in a Peugeot 5008, locate the levers or release buttons on the backrest of the second or third row seats. In many trims, the levers are positioned on the top or side of the backrests, identifiable by symbols of a folded seat. Pulling the lever or pressing the button will release the catch that keeps the backrest in an upright position. Then push the backrest down until it rests on the boot floor, creating a larger, flat surface. If there is a third row, repeat the same operation for each seat to be lowered. On some models, the levers are also accessible from the boot to allow operation with the tailgate closed. Always ensure that the headrests do not obstruct movement and, if necessary, lower them before folding the backrests.
