In this video, we will see how to replace the cover and oil-vapour recovery membrane on a Peugeot 207 1.6. We notice that the part is leaking sludge: First, we will have obtained the part from an e-commerce site or a local parts dealer. Using an 8mm spanner, remove the engine cover, also taking off the oil cap. Use a screwdriver to pry up the cover to be replaced. Clean the area thoroughly of dirt and debris. Immediately replace the oil cap, then fit the new part starting with the spring, then press down until you hear the click of the cap securing. Now we can reattach the engine cover; however, we must remove the oil cap again. Secure the screws and close the cap. Job done.
