How to remove the front shock absorber on a Renault Scenic? The first step: lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel; unscrew the retaining bolts of the shock absorber using a socket wrench. Unscrew the retaining bolts of the shock absorber at the wheel hub (disconnect the brake line hoses with a screwdriver). Lift the bonnet and secure it; remove the bolts on the side, then pull the shock absorber out of its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber on the car by reversing the steps.
