How to Replace the Battery in a Renault Key Card

Let’s see how to replace the battery in a Renault key/card. Slide the shell (there is a live engraving area) down the back of the card.

Once the shell is removed, you may find a small plastic cover to lift to access the battery. The battery can be removed by pressing on one side and replacing it with a new one (a common CR 2032 that can be easily found at any electronics store or supermarket).

Be careful with the battery polarity when removing it, so you can insert the new one in the same position. Refit the shell, and you’re done.
