How to deactivate the immobilizer on the Renault Clio

Model: Renault Clio MK 2, Clio 2 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Instrument cluster

The immobilizer, also called immobilizer, is an electronic safety device fitted to cars that prevents the engine from running unless a correct code is transmitted from the remote control to the ignition system via a transponder. In the event that the immobilizer light stays on or continues to flash on our car when it is turned on, we can follow the instructions below to unlock it. First insert the key in the ignition, hold down the button in the center of the key and turn the key to position 1 and then immediately after to position 2. At this point the immobilizer LED will go out and the engine can be started.
