Checking the Fuel Pressure Regulator Function

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

The fuel pressure regulator is located next to the injection pump, and to test its correct operation, it is necessary to remove it: disconnect the wiring and pipes that interfere with the mounting screws of the regulator; once access to the regulator's mounting screws is cleared, remove them and extract the regulator from its position; check that the pump is not blocked and that fuel flows out when pressing the manual pump; first, check for any metallic residues inside the filter mesh; measure the electrical resistance of the coil, which should be around 5 ohms, and power the solenoid to test the opening and closing of the valve.
