Renault Clio - Video tutorial

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Mass air flow sensor
Operation: Check the functioning of the mass air flow meter

The so-called mass air flow meter is actually the air mass meter: it is therefore a sensor mounted downstream of the engine air filter box and which has the function of communicating to the engine management control unit the volume of air blown as a function of the number of revolutions. It is possible to check the operation of this sensor using a simple voltmeter. Set the reading scale to 20V, intercept the debimeter connector and connect the leads on the two wires with a larger section (black and purple): when the panel is switched on, the 12V power supply will be measured; it is suggested to use pins or tacks to insert at the entrance of the wires to facilitate the measurement; leaving the ground lead, check the output voltage of the other two wires: with the engine off, nothing must be measured; with the engine running, on the other hand, the voltage must increase with the engine revolutions.

Disassembly of the gear knob on the Lancia Ypsilon 2

Today we will see, in this video tutorial, how to remove and replace the gear knob on the second series Lancia Ypsilon, but also on the Lancia Musa, in simple and quick steps. We get inside the car and start by removing the old gear knob; to do this, just unscrew it anticlockwise, as shown in the video. At this point we also remove the gearshift gaiter, in order to replace, if necessary, it too; we just have to fix the new headset and insert the new gear knob, screwing it correctly and without creating play on the gear lever!
