How to Change Brake Pads and Discs on a Renault Kangoo

Model: Renault Kangoo KW, MK 1, KC - Years 1997-2008
Part: Brake pads

Replacing the front brake discs and pads is maintenance that can easily be done yourself; therefore, lift the vehicle and secure it on proper axle stands, avoiding leaving it raised on a jack. Next, remove the front wheel, then the retaining pins of the brake caliper to remove it and extract the old pads. Also, remove the caliper bracket, then remove the retaining pins of the disc from the hub and take it off. At this point, brush the disc seat on the hub to remove any oxidation and apply grease to prevent further formation. Fit and secure the new disc, cleaning it of protective oil with the appropriate cleaner. Then, work in reverse to reassemble the caliper bracket, new pads, and then the caliper.
