How to Replace the Air Conditioning Filter on a 2022 Seat Ibiza

To replace the air conditioning filter on a 2022 Seat Ibiza, you only need a long screwdriver. Open the glove compartment and use the screwdriver to lever in the two side slots to release the fixing pins of the compartment: first on one side, then the other.

The compartment is made of flexible plastic but should be handled gently. Once released, the compartment drops down, giving access to the filter box. Remove the filter cover: there are two tabs to pull down.

Extract the old filter (activated carbon type). Note the Airflow writing with arrows indicating the airflow from top to bottom: it is important to respect this direction during installation.

Insert the new activated carbon filter (better than paper as it retains odours and impurities) respecting the direction. Gently push the three metal pins into their slots.

Reopen the glove compartment and push it upwards to snap it onto the pins. The compartment does not have a descent actuator, so it is not braked.

It is recommended to change the filter once a year, instead of the two years indicated by the manufacturer, given the ease of the operation.
