Descriptive guide for changing the engine oil and oil filter of a Sherco 300 SEF-R. Get 1LT of oil Place the motorcycle on the stand or central lift. Place a container for the recovery of the oil to be disposed of under the engine. Start the engine, allow the engine to reach temperature and then stop. With a ratchet and a 10-inch socket unscrew the fixing screws of the engine guard. Using the ratchet, unscrew the fixing screws of the sprocket guard, located on the left side. Unscrew the two screws of the bracket with a 4mm Allen key. With a ratchet and a 17mm socket unscrew the oil filter cover located above the sprocket. Remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one. Using the ratchet, unscrew the oil drain plug located under the engine on the left side. Drain all the oil. Reassemble everything. Open the oil filler neck located on the right side of the engine. In previous versions the manufacturer declares 450cc, another 650cc of oil. Measure the old oil and pour the same amount.
