How do you replace the Sherco 450 piston?

In order to replace the Sherco 450 piston it is necessary to loosen all the screws that fix the engine to the supports of its housing, so that it can be removed from its seat by disconnecting the connectors. Once the engine has been released, it will be necessary to remove it from its housing and then loosen the screws that secure the cylinder: the latter can now be detached by accessing the piston placed inside. It will have to be detached from its connecting rod by removing its fixing ring and replacing it with a new spare part; after replacement, all removed components can be re-assembled.

First of all we put our bike on the stand and start by unscrewing the screws of the plastic bulkhead that we find under the engine; then we go and unscrew the bleed screw located on the water pump casing, letting the old antifreeze fluid drain into a container.
