Replacement of the gear lever gaiter and knob of the Skoda Octavia MK3.

Over time, the gear knob and gear lever gaiter of the Skoda Octavia wear out to the point where they need to be replaced. To do this, we open the small storage compartment in front of the gear lever and use our fingers to detach the base of the gaiter. We pull the base upwards until we uncover the base of the knob, then we loosen the metal clamp with a pointed lever, firmly grip the knob and pull upwards with force until it comes off. We take the gaiter and the new knob, insert it onto the lever, align the gear diagram, push downwards, lock the clamp at the base, pull down the gaiter and lock the base.
