How to Reset the Service Light on a Smart 450?

To clear the Service light displayed on the instrument cluster of the Smart 450, press and hold the button located on the left side of the cluster while it is off: continue to hold the button, insert the ignition key into the lock and turn it to switch on the cluster.

You will then need to continue holding the button for about ten seconds: after this time has passed, the Service light should automatically clear, and then turn off the cluster to complete the reset procedure.
