What to do when three horizontal lines appear on the Smart display

In this video we see what to do when three horizontal lines appear on the instrument panel of the Smart: the youtuber simply suggests disconnecting the negative cable from the battery, and reattaching it after about five/ten minutes, so that the control unit can reset, in the same way you would restart a computer or our smartphone.

Upon restart, the control unit may say some nonsense, because it needs to reboot, but after the second or third restart at most, we will see that the car will start again with the indication of "N", that is, neutral.

It is advisable to always carry a set of keys with the Smart, for safety.
