Replacing the Central Brake Light on Smart Fortwo

Replacing the bulb for the central brake light on a Smart Fortwo is extremely simple. The housing for the third brake light bulb is secured by two T10 Torx screws, one on the far right and one on the far left. Just unscrew these Torx screws, and the housing will come out easily. At this point, with the light unit in one hand, disconnect the connector by releasing the locking tab. Turn the bulb, with its rear holder, counterclockwise, and it will come out of the light unit. Remove the old bulb and insert the new one; it couldn't be easier.
