Thanks to this short video tutorial, let's see how to replace the gear knob of a Smart 453, a model in production from 2014 to 2022. This operation is valid for both the two-seater and four-seater versions. First we have to put the gear lever in the "N" position, then we rotate the lower part of the gear lever counterclockwise until we hear two "tacs". Once this is done we can extract the old gear knob simply by pulling it upwards, finally to mount a new gear knob we just need to follow the reverse procedure.
