How to Remove the Gear Knob from a Smart ForTwo

Model: Smart Smart 454, Fourfour1 - Years 2004-2006

Before you begin, sit in the driver's seat of your Smart ForTwo. To carry out this removal safely, it is strongly recommended to switch off the engine, engage the handbrake, and put the gearbox in neutral. Start by pulling upwards on the gear knob. This will disengage it from the gear lever. Once you have completed this step, you will have successfully removed the gear knob from your Smart ForTwo, and you will be ready to install the new gear knob.
