To reset the expired service reminder on the car, no special tools are required; the car is designed to perform the reset itself when the oil change is done. First, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to activate only the instrument panel. Then press the trip meter button to display the mileage and turn off the ignition. Press the trip reset button again and, while holding it down, turn the ignition key to activate only the instrument panel. At this point, the service reminder light should turn off.
