Toyota Yaris - Video tutorial
Model: Toyota Yaris
Xp90
- Years 2005-2011 To deactivate the immobilizer of the Toyota Yaris, you need to unscrew the screws that fix the plastic coverings of the steering column: in this way, the plastics can be removed, giving access to the underlying components. Here you can locate the control unit that manages the operation of the immobilizer, which can now be removed from its housing by disconnecting it and unscrewing the fixing screws: at this point, it will be possible to replace it with a differently programmed one that prevents the activation of the immobilizer. Then you can mount all the removed coverings, checking that the system does not activate again.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video.
