Do you perform your own oil change/service but don’t know how to reset the service light? Unfortunately, the answer may not please you! Yes, because unlike many cars and motorcycles where you simply follow a sequence of commands to make the famous spanner light disappear, on Triumph motorcycles this is absolutely impossible! Perhaps done for business reasons, but there is no reset sequence available. That said, it is still worth doing the service yourself if you know how. To reset the light, you will need to purchase the Triumph OBD USB diagnostic cable, which connects to the motorcycle’s diagnostic port, and acquire the software available only on the dedicated Triumph website. It will cost you around a hundred pounds, but once purchased, you will be set for life.
