How to Program Nice Remotes from a Receiver

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Checks and maintenance

Video tutorial

First, identify the exact model of the receiver (usually written on the label). The most common models are OXI, OX2, SMXI, FLOX, etc. The following procedures are valid for many of these, but if your model is different, refer to the specific manual.

There are two main programming modes, as explained in the video: Mode 1 (Quick Memory): This is used to associate all buttons of the remote to the outputs of the receiver at once (e.g., Button 1 = output 1, Button 2 = output 2). On the receiver, press and hold the programming button until the LED lights up solid (often green or red depending on the model); release the button; within a few seconds (usually 10), press any button on the new remote.

The receiver confirms the memory with 3 LED flashes (the colour varies: green, orange, or 3 long flashes); release the remote button and wait for the LED to turn off. Mode 2 (Custom Memory): This is used to associate a single button of the remote to a specific function (e.g., you want Button 2 to only open the pedestrian gate, not the car). On the receiver, press the programming button a number of times corresponding to the desired function (e.g., 1 time = function 1, 2 times = function 2). The LED will flash the same number of times for confirmation.

Within a few seconds, press and hold the specific button on the remote that you want to associate with that function. The receiver confirms with 3 orange flashes.

Repeat the procedure for each button/function you want to memorise.
