How to replace the wing mirror on a Volkswagen Tiguan? Watch this video to see how to proceed. Using a plastic or rubber-coated spatula, pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the glass. Leverage until the glass separates from the mirror; this is a delicate operation as the glass or the mirror itself may break. Once the damaged mirror glass is removed, disconnect the power connector for the glass. If you wish to remove the indicator on the mirror: unscrew the securing screws as shown in the video. Finally, replace the damaged part with the new one. Ensure the plastic clips snap into the mirror supports.
