Replacing the blown bulb in the front headlamp of a Volkswagen Golf 5? Here’s how to remove and replace it. Open the front bonnet by pulling the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard, and secure it with the prop. Locate the inspection cap of the headlamp at the rear of the unit.

Remove the cover cap at the back of the headlamp using your hands or a screwdriver. Take out the bulbs from the headlamp with the help of a screwdriver.

Fit the new bulbs (always the correct type and size). Insert the bulb holder into the headlamp housing along with the bulb.

Refit the headlamp cover and close the front bonnet. Turn on the new bulbs using the control levers.
