How to Change the Temperature Unit on a Volkswagen Air Conditioning System

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Dashboard

See how to change the temperature unit on the air conditioning system of a Volkswagen vehicle. Turn on the instrument panel (without starting the engine) and switch on the air conditioning; press and hold both side buttons on the control panel - usually those with the "auto" and "off" symbols (or the two temperature buttons on the right and left) for about 3 to 5 seconds. After a moment, the display will flash and the unit of measurement will change. At this point, release the buttons and the new setting will be saved automatically. The system does not require further confirmation.
