To reset the service light on a Volkswagen Golf 6, start by turning on the ignition. Navigate to the on-board computer menu at the centre of the dials using the arrows. Press the down arrow until the "service" message appears, then press the "ok" button. Continue pressing the down arrow until the "reset" message appears, and press the "ok" button again. Once the reset is complete, return to the main menu page of the on-board computer, turn off the ignition, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on to confirm that the reset has been successful.
