How do you replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

The replacement of the timing belt on the Volkswagen Golf 5 can be done by opening the hood and removing the cover of the top part of the engine block, along with the one on the left side. At this point, it will be possible to proceed by loosening the belt tensioner pulley, after the right front wheel and the corresponding wheel arch liner have been removed. Once these two components have been removed, it will be possible to pull out the belt, inserting the new one following the marks. After installation, the belt tensioner pulley and all previously removed components can be reinserted.
