Answer

The oil sensor does not always measure exactly: like any component of the engine it can fail. If the warning light comes on but the level - which you are going to check - is okay, the sensor is almost certainly having problems. If the warning light comes on sporadically while the car is in motion, again after checking the level, we can say that the sensor is almost certainly faulty. If the car does not start giving the oil warning light, it could be another symptom. Although it may seem trivial, we must be sure that the light can come on in case of need, sometimes it triggers the engine light directly. Check the status of the lamp or fuse box. If you want to check the pressure switch directly, remember that you can easily find it on the tappet cover and you can recognize it because it has a socket with a hexagonal pin for fixing.
