If when engaging reverse gear the relevant warning lights in the rear lights do not come on and you are sure that the bulbs are in place, then it is likely that the relevant switch has been damaged: this is located on the gearbox; it can be reached easily by removing the left front wheel and the relative wheel pass lining: the switch is located immediately above the axle shaft.
